Prior to founding Epidarus Therapeutics, Deirdre was a Senior Research Associate at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California. Her research focused on metastatic breast cancer, bladder cancer and melanoma and established the role of Hyaluronidase enzymes in the metastic progression of these cancers. Prior to that, she was a Senior Scientist at Cytel, a biotech start-up, where she led a project investigating the biology of MHC Class II antigen presentation and its role in autoimmunity. The therapeutic potential of this project led to a successful IPO for Cytel. She has received numerous grants and awards and is the author of scientific articles based on her research in cancer and immunology. As the Founder and Chief Scientist at Epidarus Therapeutics, she leverages her expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology and extensive knowledge of the biology of Hyaluronic Acid to develop novel therapies for skin, joint and bladder conditions. She received B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from University College, Dublin, Ireland and a Post-doctoral fellowship at the Department of Immunology at Scripps, La jolla.

Dr. Miller has been involved with Epidarus Therapeutics since its inception as an advisor, collaborator and investor. A noted plastic surgeon, he is the founder of the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation, a large skincare/laser center and is a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. In addition, he has developed several innovative non-surgical procedures as well as devices and new products for the cosmetic industry. He holds a number of patents in the aesthetic field, associated with nanotechnology and injectable fillers. An established entrepreneur, Dr. Miller has been involved in multiple aesthetic startup companies and in commercializing his own inventions. Dr Miller received his MD in South Africa at the University of Cape Town.

During his career, Mr. Marks has developed significant expertise in business development and structured finance. He co-founded a company with two partners that was eventually sold to a Fortune 500 company. Since then, he has acted as a consultant, invested in varied entrepreneurial startups, and real estate development. Jeff has been instrumental in raising capital for Epidarus and in introducing partners to help scale up and commercialize Epidarus technology. His educational background includes a B.S. in economics and mathematics from the University of California at Riverside, an M.S. in Applied Mathematics and an M.S. in Economics from the University of California at San Diego, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
